Dry skin is caused by a lack of moisture, but mature skin can lose moisture at a very rapid rate. It's not helped by the fact that skin thins as we age leaving it more prone to lines, wrinkles, less elasticity through lack of collagen and sagging if we haven't been helping the face with massage and products earlier in our lives.
First, we're going to reinvent our cleansing routine with this gorgeous cleanser.
GATINEAU AGE BENEFIT MELTING CLEANSING ELIXIR 100ML/ RRP £49.00
Cleansers can strip skin so the first thing I want to do is make sure you are using a great cleanser that is gentle and feeds skin. Personally, I avoid foaming cleansers as too harsh but this Gatineau cleanser effortlessly melts away make-up and impurities for hydrated, plump and radiant skin. It contains Pea Peptide, Oat Lipids and Algae Oil paired with a delicate spa fragrance, for the ultimate cleansing experience. Skin feels soft and nourished, not stripped, tight or dry which is perfect for us, so it cleansers AND feeds our skin.
REN CLEAN SKINCARE BIO RETINOID YOUTH CREAM 50ML / RRP £54.00
This is a firming retinoid with visible lift in the results as well. In short, it is going to help thicken skin, smooth the appearance of fine lines and "lift" areas of sagging. With mature skin that is sagging you need to be careful with how you apply your products, smooth in gently in upwards movements and the results should be impressive -

PIXI BOTANICAL COLLAGEN & RETINOL SERUM 30ML / RRP £29.00
This serum is super charged with both collagen and retinol making it perfect for us. The collagen topically helps replace the collagen we naturally lose as we get older while the retinol helps smooth those fine lines. This serum "volumises" skin, which means it looks fuller so lines, wrinkles and sagging are less visible.
TRILOGY CERTIFIED ORGANIC ROSEHIP OIL 20ML / RRP £19.50
I've included this oil not just because it is gentle on skin, but it is also brilliant to soften skin. Dry skin needs moisture, but it also needs softening to get that "glow" back in it. This is perfect for a few minutes of facial massage each day and the results will help your skin look amazing.
