I've spent the month creating beauty advent calendars for companies that are very well known but I'm under an NDA so I can't tell you who. Because I do what I do, I'm quite good at asking brands to support a campaign (such as our TOYL box), to reach a specific audience, so I've been deciding what will go into your beauty advent calendar this December if you buy one. However, I'm telling you there's not much glitz this Christmas, it's all pine cones, and matt greens or red so pack that tinsel back up and leave it for another year.Given it's only just April, it was no fun at all and sometimes it seems as if Christmas never goes away, it's omnipresent in the world of beauty. I've also just ordered the first product for your December 28th TOYL box which you'll receive in January 2020 so I'm not sure that this isn't even worse. The thing is that so many of us spend our time planning what we are going to do that we miss living in the moment, living and enjoying today. Now, I understand more than many that if you don't plan ahead your tomorrow could be a mess but often our today's are spent planning our tomorrow's and this isn't great. It's only when something major hits you that you remember, for a very short time that actually, the things that really matter sometimes just don't get prioritised. Now, we're all going to drift back into our planning ways, but why not, this weekend, put most of the planning stuff aside and consciously spend this weekend living in the moment? It's actually very hard to do but I'm going to get up on Saturday, see what the weather's doing and decide from there what I can do that day to make me and mine happy. After that, I don't even want to think about Christmas again until 30th November. Have a great weekend and catch up next week!KarenIf you have any comments on this blog or feedback I'd love to hear it at karen@toyl.co.uk
