Well, Coronavirus is a real thing.
I work in our village on the Parish Council (I know, there's no chain of office or nothing to make that phrase any more exciting) and I'm finding out what to do for our Village Hall, which would have to close if someone in contact with the virus visited it. From what I can see, the organisations advising us on what to do are pretty much making it up as they go along. It's not surprising, we've never had a virus get this big in our lifetimes but here's what I know:
1. Anti bacterial products WILL NOT kill the Coronavirus - it's a virus, not a bacteria.
2. Your best friends here are alcohol-based cleaning products and bleach
3. Anti bacterial hand gels won't work unless there's some alcohol in it.
Well, out and about this morning I met Linda in the village who is making her own hand gel so here's her recipe. Okay, it's not quite her recipe, Linda is making hers with Navy Rum, but I strongly suspect that's a function of what's in her drinks cabinet. Could I also suggest that you don't use Baileys....
Making your own hand gel is a real thing, it's all over the internet but, currently, these ingredients are much easier to get so you'll be ahead of the curve.
This recipe is thin enough to go into a spray bottle if you prefer, which you can get off the internet or a bottle of your own. Makes 150ml.

Aww, I'd like to say that it's more complex than this but it isn't. It's natural, you know exactly what's in it and all the ingredients are (currently) available pretty easily.
